    Chapter Index

Liao Jun wakes up early, his biological clock is at six o’clock. In the club, he is the first to get up every day. While others get up to practice boxing, he runs half the city.

He got up and took a cold shower. Grandma also woke up and was lighting a fire in the tile-roofed house. She asked him if he wanted hot water. Liao Jun said no and took a towel to wipe his head with one hand and a branch to help light the fire.

Grandma was old, hard of hearing and dim-sighted, but she liked chatting with people. She told Liao Jun stories about Chen Xiang and Chen Yang when they were young. She laughed while talking, and Liao Jun listened quietly.

He’s grandma passed away early, and his father and grandpa were modeled after each other. He was very strict with him and spoke with guns and sticks. Several of his peers in the family either became prosecutors, lawyers or professors. Only he opened a boxing gym club.

To be precise, he is the product of being raised crookedly under strict education.

Both of his parents are professors, and Hui Hui was teased by outsiders because of his profession. Therefore, when the family had dinner later, he was almost never asked to go back. Liao Jun was too lazy to go back, too lazy to talk to a group of hypocritical people.

He has no impression of his grandma, and he doesn’t know if his grandma has ever smiled at others and told interesting stories about he’s childhood like Chen Xiang’s grandma.

“Yangyang was only three years old at the time. She got lost. She was so frightened that she ran over to me crying and told me that Yangyang was missing. Who knew that Yangyang was playing hide-and-seek with her and kept hiding in the tank until he heard her cry and ran out…”

“Has she been so stupid since she was a child?” Liao Jun laughed.

Grandma also laughed, “What’s wrong with me is that I have such a good temper and I get bullied easily.”

Liao Jun stuffed a few branches into the fire, “Who bullied her?”

Chen Xiang didn’t get up until after ten o’clock. She was covered with a thin quilt. When she got up, she found that it was empty and naked. When she got out of bed, her legs were so sore that she grinned in pain and walked to her grandma’s room, where she found her own clothes from the old-fashioned wardrobe and changed into them.

When he came out, he saw Liao Jun stepping on the ladder and climbing to the roof. He was holding a tile in his hand and was repairing the hole in the roof. Chen Xiang was startled. He held the ladder and shouted, “Coach, you… come down. It’s very dangerous up there.”

She is afraid that he will fall. He is Chen Yang’s boss and coach, and he cannot let anything happen to her.

Liao Jun didn’t mention how beautiful she was, thinking that Chen Xiang was worried about he. He smiled so hard that his teeth were exposed, which made his face even darker. He lowered his voice and said to she, “Call me husband, and I will go down.”

Chen Xiang never expected that he would make such a request, so he blushed and lowered his head silently. In the kitchen, grandma called her, saying that she had killed a chicken and asked her to fry it for Liao Jun. Chen Xiang wanted to go, but was afraid that Liao Jun would fall. Just when he was so entangled, Liao Jun had already mended the tiles, stepped down the ladder in a few steps, came to Chen Xiang, took him into his arms and kissed him.

Chen Xiang was so shocked that her scalp exploded. Fortunately, her grandma was still in the kitchen, busy lighting the fire, and didn’t see this scene.

Liao Jun had already let go of his hand and was carrying the ladder back to the neighbor. He was only wearing a black vest. He had broad shoulders and a broad back. He held the ladder with his long muscular arms and walked out with his head held high. If it weren’t for the smile on his face, people who didn’t know would have thought he was going to ransack the house.

Chen Xiang had a sore back and legs, so she stood and cut the hen into pieces, cleaned it, and fried it in a pot. Her grandma said beside her, “Don’t feel bad. After all, we are coach Yangyang, and we can’t neglect him.”

    “I know.” Chen Xiang nodded.

She didn’t even dare to tell her grandma that Liao Jun bought her a mobile phone worth more than 10,000 yuan, and one chicken was simply not enough to pay it back.
