    Ambitious and self-employed x warlord [seventy-two]

Li Xin didn’t know that she had been sitting for a long time, but she felt that her whole body was almost numb.

It could be an hour, three hours, five hours.

It wasn’t until there was a creaking sound from the door that she vaguely realized that she was sitting on the bed, hugging the quilt, and slept half asleep.

There was a steady sound of footsteps outside the door, and the hard soles of the shoes hit the ground, making an unclear friction sound.

She confirmed once again that this was not Qi Zhen’s small foreign-style building.

Although this man’s steps were steady, they were not as sonorous and powerful as Qi Zhen’s steps.

She unconsciously wrapped herself in the quilt tightly, and looked towards the place where the sound came from with a pair of unfocused, foggy eyes.

The mattress sank at a corner, and her body sank as well.

    Deathly silence.

After losing her vision, her sense of hearing and smell became particularly keen. She smelled the faint scent of book ink mixed with a bit of tobacco.

    He sighed.

“I’m sorry,” the deep voice overlapped with the memory, and Li Xin clenched her hands so tightly that her knuckles turned white, “I don’t want to do this to you.”

    Qi Heng, Qi Heng again.

For a moment, Li Xin really regretted that she had started too lightly. If the hairpin had been inserted deeper, perhaps everything that followed would not have happened.

Seeing that Li Xin was silent and looked horribly cold, Qi Heng reached out his hand and wanted to touch her cheek.

Li Xin reacted very quickly and dodged.

Qi Heng’s hand fell into the air and hung down in embarrassment.

The two were silent for a long time. After a while, Li Xin hoarse his voice and asked, “What did you do to him?”

Her lips were very dry, and if she moved a little, they would soon split, and a faint bloodshot oozed out.

Qi Heng took the warm water on the side and wanted to feed her a drink, but Li Xin slapped her away and spilled it directly on the bed.

The warm water soaked the mattress all over.

Qi Heng looked at the stain silently, his eyes lowered, and he silently picked up the cup and placed it on the table aside.

    Are you hungry?”He asked.

Li Xin did not answer him, but stared blankly ahead and asked stubbornly: “What did you do to him?”

Qi Heng looked at her calmly. Li Xin naturally didn’t know the emotions on his face and could only shrink to the corner of the bed defensively.

After a long time, Qi Heng said: “He is dead.”

    Li Xin’s heart suddenly stopped.

But soon, her rationality slowly returned, dispersing some of the panic.

But her fingertips were slightly cold.

    “I don’t believe it.”

She shook her head, and there was no hysterical, frightened or uneasy scene as Qi Heng had imagined.

Except for her blind eyes, she was terrifyingly calm.

Qi Pu wanted to twitch the corners of his mouth, but found that his face was stiff.

“Believe it or not, it’s up to you,” he stood up from the edge of the bed, his tone flat, as if he was just stating an established fact, “If he stands in front of you, he will naturally not survive.”

Qi Heng thought of the scene he saw, and felt an inexplicable sense of joy in his heart.

Li Xin turned her head sideways, as if to determine his direction. The light from the window was just right, falling on her somewhat pale face, but it couldn’t illuminate her dark eyes: “Did you do it?All this?”

Qi Heng looked at her condescendingly and did not deny: “Yes.”

He has been waiting for this day since many years ago.

Li Xin listened for a long time and suddenly burst into laughter.

She smiled inexplicably, even after Qi Heng heard it, he couldn’t help but have a trace of hesitation in his eyes.

“I really regret it now,” she sighed softly after laughing, “I regret not being able to kill you in the first place.”
