    Chapter Index

Silly white sweet genius doctor young man

In a blink of an eye, it was daybreak. The two of them had washed and dressed and were ready to go downstairs.

Before leaving, Lian Yueshu suddenly remembered that he had forgotten something, so he told Li Xin and turned around to get his medicine box.

However, the moment he turned around, he tripped on the threshold and stumbled unconsciously.

There was a slight “click” sound under the feet, as if something was crushed.

    He looked down.

At some point, a small bead flower appeared on the edge of the threshold. The round beads on the bead flower had been crushed by his feet, and the original shape could not be seen.

Lian Yueshu glanced at it and felt that it looked familiar.

Just when he wanted to take a closer look, the medicine boy downstairs shouted anxiously. Lian Yueshu responded helplessly, reached out and put the broken pearl flowers in the medicine box, and hurried downstairs.

The medicine boy and Li Xin downstairs heard that Luo Yingxiu was gone and left at dawn, and the coachman followed her to take her back to Luojiapu.

This was Lian Yueshu’s plan. Luo Yingxiu took the initiative to leave, but he was relieved.

The three of them were not short of money, so they simply bought a carriage and let the medicine boy drive it. They chose a direction and slowly set out on the road.

Lian Yueshu was going on a medical trip, and Li Xin’s mission was to protect him, so he followed him.

They walked and stopped all the way for about two months. Early summer was approaching. They took advantage of the fact that it was not too hot yet and headed to the cooler north.

In the middle, I found a small town to rest and eat, and Lian Yueshu heard people talking at the table next to him.

“…You haven’t seen that those people died piece by piece. They couldn’t bury them in the ground, so they just threw them on the top of the mountain and looked at them.”

His dining roommate bumped him with his elbow.

“I’m eating, why are you saying this is unappetizing?”

    The man said dissatisfied:

“I heard that this disease has infected people in several villages. The nearest one is in Sixi Village. It’s only a mountain away from us. Aren’t you afraid?”

His companion was speechless when he heard this, and looked worried for a moment:

“How can it be so mysterious as you say?”

Even so, he was still in a state of confusion.

“I’ll just leave it here. It’s up to you whether you believe it or not.”

The man finished the last bite of rice and said vaguely:

“Come on, finish your meal and leave quickly, and get out as soon as possible to avoid it.”

The two of them were talking to themselves and didn’t notice Lian Yueshu at all.

When they paid the bill and were about to go out, Lian Yueshu whispered a few words to the medicine boy and asked him to catch up and ask for details.

The medicine boy agreed with a grimace.

Li Xin swallowed the last sip of wine, looked at the direction the medicine boy left, and said curiously:

    “You want to go?”

She had keen senses and naturally heard the conversation between the two men clearly.

Lian Yueshu nodded, “Such a disease would be fine if it were a normal disease, but if it is an epidemic, if it is not treated in time, something will inevitably go wrong.”

    Li Xin couldn’t help frowning

    “No drought or flood,”

She paused for a moment, then continued, “Where did the epidemic come from?”

The occurrence of natural disasters is often accompanied by the spread of epidemics. The reason is that the dead bodies of animals and humans polluted the water sources.

But now that everything is going smoothly, how could an epidemic suddenly occur?

Lianyue Shu thought deeply and said:

“That may not be an epidemic. If it is really an epidemic, I’m afraid there are some other reasons.”

They didn’t say a word here. The medicine boy who went out to inquire had already trotted back. He sat down and took a few breaths.

Angry, he told all the news he asked:

“…They don’t know the details, but they heard that people who contract the disease will die, and it has already harmed many villages.”

    Lianyue Shu said:

“Why isn’t such a big thing reported?”

The medicine boy scratched his head and said:

“I’m wondering about it too, but those two people only know a little bit about it and can’t say anything more.”
