    Chapter Index

At four o’clock in the afternoon, Wen Jin took a taxi to the address sent by Jiang Kuanwang with two pure white backpacks in hand.

Jiang Kuanwang and the others were local, less than half an hour’s drive from Wenjin.

Wen Jin got off the car at the intersection, and then saw a middle-aged man squatting at the intersection smoking, less than one meter away from the trash can. He was wearing dusty work clothes, and his face was covered with black ash.

    Wen Jin stared at him.

The man stared at the bag in his hand.

With just one glance, he was sure that the man was Jiang Wan’s father, Jiang Kuanwang.

Wen Jin dropped the two bags on the ground and said to him from a distance, “Jiang Wan spent nine years in prison as a scapegoat. After you got out, the first call you made to her was to ask her for three million.”

Jiang Kuanwang kept staring at the bag he threw on the ground and said meaninglessly, “Nine years have only passed in the blink of an eye. She has come out now, and she is doing so well now. She is an anchor and she is your girlfriend, right? I heard that you have been living together. My daughter has been raised so big and slept with you for so long. It is nothing to ask you to collect some money.”

Wen Jin looked at him expressionlessly.

Jiang Kuanwang was so frightened by his eyes that he couldn’t help but come over and ask, “Have you brought the money?”

Wen Jin lowered his eyes and looked at his feet.

Jiang Kuanwang looked at the bulging bag and swallowed, “Let me take a look first.”

“I want to know who Jiang Wan took the blame for in the past.” Wen Jin’s voice became louder.

Jiang Kuanwang kept staring at the bag at his feet, and said without thinking, “She didn’t tell you? It’s her classmate, Li Chengxue’s daughter, her name is Li Xinrui.”

“How much did you charge them?” Wen Jin asked.

“It’s not much. They only gave two hundred thousand at that time.” Jiang Kuanwang took a step closer and bent down to pick up the bag on the ground. “Jiang Wan is too ignorant. The family was short of money at that time. I had no choice, so I asked her to take the blame.”

He touched the zipper with a greedy smile on his face. When the zipper opened, he saw that it was filled with piles of cash.

“Do you regret it?” Wen Jin’s voice came from behind, without any emotion.

“What are you regretting? There is nothing to regret.” Jiang Kuanwang was filled with money in front of him. He waved his hand to his son and wife who were hiding in the dark, “Tao’er! Mother! Come here! It’s really money!”

My wife and son also ran out.

Wen Jin watched the whole family shouting like crazy around the money in the bag. He opened the other bag without expression, raised his hand, and threw the bag into the middle of the road, and money fell out one after another.

Jiang Kuanwang scolded him and rushed to the middle of the road to pick up the money.

There was a siren whistling next to his ears. When he was pulled up, he went to pick up the money with red eyes. It was not until he saw the police uniform on the other person that he was dumbfounded.

    “Why are you arresting me?!”

Wen Jin handed the phone with the recorded voice to the police and said to him, “There are recordings to prove it and other evidence. I hope you can collect it as soon as possible.”

“Please come with us to the police station to record a statement,” the policeman said to him.

    “Okay.”

He looked back at Jiang Kuanwang and others who were arrested in the police car, and followed the police indifferently towards a police car.

Jiang Kuanwang pointed at him through the window in the car and yelled, “Son of a bitch! You lied to me! You actually lied to me! Let me go! He lied to me! I don’t even know what happened! Why did you arrest me!”

His wife and son were so frightened that they burst into tears and kept begging the police to let them go. The police yelled, “Quiet!”

    The carriage then became quiet.

Wen Jin called a lawyer. When he first joined the AY team, he hired a private lawyer to take care of his contract and income.

To this day, lawyers still serve him.

He relayed the process to the lawyer in a few words and asked him to rush to the police station to handle the follow-up.

The lawyer asked, “What outcome do you want?”

Wen Jin looked out the window, black clouds were pressing down, and raindrops were falling.

He thought of the tears on Jiang Wan’s face.

The temperature is hot and the taste is salty.

Although he couldn’t understand her emotions.

But he knew that she was in pain and aggrieved.

He spoke into the phone, his voice indifferent.

    “Nine years.”

“Give them nine years in prison.”
