    317. Acquiescence

After staying abroad for half a month, I moved from Ecuador to Colombia. Because I didn’t go with a group, I walked slowly and leisurely every day, very leisurely.

She is not in a hurry to visit more areas. Sometimes she will stay in the same hotel for two or three days, walk around, and then leave with satisfaction to go to the next city.

Here, there are no familiar people or scenery to Gu Pan. Everything is new and different, making Gu Pan forget about things at home for a while and immerse himself in it.

Before leaving, Gu Pan realized that his things were overweight when he was checking them in…and a lot overweight.

In addition to the things he originally planned to bring to his parents, Gu Pan seemed to have bought a lot of unnecessary things without knowing it.

There was nothing special, just some local clothing, food, and strange decorations. Many of them were things Gu Pan saw in the store at that time. A certain figure popped into his head unknowingly, and then he took them to check out by accident.

Now that things have happened… Gu Pan even has the urge to just throw them all away at the airport in a foreign country.

I can’t give it away anyway!

However, after calculating how much money he spent to buy this pile of things, Gu Pan still checked them all back to the country without any hope.

If you can’t give it away, keep it at home!Money can’t be wasted anyway!

When he returned to his hometown, Gu Pan did not dare to go home directly, but went to find his grandma first.

As soon as he opened the door, he saw that the smile on Dad Gu’s face froze.

For a moment, Gu Pan felt like he was at a loss for home, “Dad…”

But Gu’s father didn’t know whether he took the old man’s existence into consideration, so he didn’t say anything more. He just said “Come in” to Gu Pan and turned around and returned to the living room.

Gu’s mother happened to be at grandma’s house, preparing to make lunch. Gu Pan didn’t dare to look at her mother, so she quickly went into the room to talk to grandma.

Grandma was still as gentle as ever. She was very happy to see Gu Pan coming, and she talked with him for a long time.

It wasn’t until the old man was put to sleep in the afternoon that the three of them left grandma’s house.

On the way home, there was silence for most of the way. Gu Pan kept thinking about when would be the best time to run away, and then he heard Gu’s mother say: “Why are you back so soon?”

    “Because… I miss my mother…”

It sounds quite flattering, but it’s Gu Pan’s innermost thoughts.

When I was traveling from home to abroad, Gu Pan thought that when I came back, I would bring gifts to visit my parents.

Hearing this, Dad Gu glanced at Gu Pan without any trace.

    Gu Pan quickly added:

    “I, I miss my dad too…”

The atmosphere finally relaxed a little, and Gu Pan lowered his head, “I left the gifts for you at the hotel. I’ll get them later… and then I’ll go back.”

“Let’s talk about it when we get home.” Gu Ma’s tone softened, “I just have something I want to talk to you about.”

When he returned home, everything was as usual, but Gu Pan actually felt as if he hadn’t been back for a long time.

Gu’s father went out to buy groceries, and only the Gu family and his wife were left at home.

“Pan, tell the truth, do you really have feelings for Cheng Jue?” Gu’s mother looked at Gu Pan very seriously.

    “…” Gu Pan looked away hesitantly, “Mom… don’t ask…”

“How could I not ask?” Gu’s mother grabbed her daughter’s hand and felt the sweat on Gu Pan’s palm, “Pan, Mom won’t hide it from you. Cheng Jue just left two days ago…”

    “…”

Gu’s mother’s words gave Gu Pan goosebumps and made her heart suddenly beat wildly.

“He begged me and your dad for a long time and told us many things…”

The woman’s mind flashed to her youngest son’s sad expression, and those amber eyes were filled with a look that made people feel heartbroken just thinking about it.

Such an expression is much more damaging to a mother than kneeling down.

From her son’s words, Gu’s mother probably guessed that after Gu Pan returned, he followed their wishes and broke up with Gu Chengjue.

This ending does meet the requirements of he people, but it seems not to meet the requirements of he people.

They just hope that these two children can be ordinary and happy, without being criticized by others, and live a smooth life.

However, how could Gu Chengjue’s heartbroken look leave them unmoved at all.

“Mom…what’s wrong with you…” Gu Pan looked at her mother who fell silent as soon as she started talking.

“Nothing…” Gu Ma sighed slightly, “Pan, let me ask a very bold question. If you are really together with Cheng Jue, will you still have a marriage? If not, how will you face other people’s criticism?”

Gu Pan was stunned for a moment, “Mom…why do you ask this…”

    “Have you ever considered this?”

Looking at her daughter who quickly fell silent, Gu’s mother sighed again.

“Pan, you don’t seem to be able to figure it out yourself. You were so confused that you knelt down with Cheng Jue.”

“Mom…are you not angry with me anymore? Why do you keep saying this…”

Gu Pan was so flustered by Gu’s mother’s question that he didn’t know how to answer it.

“Your dad and I were so angry at the time. Of course the main reason was what happened between you two, but part of the reason was that you were too tough.” Mother Gu said, “There was no room for negotiation. She just threw herself down and knelt down in front of us, as if she just came to inform us.”

“…” Of course Gu Pan knew that what Gu Chengjue did was wrong at that time, but when things happened suddenly, she definitely couldn’t let Gu Chengjue bear the consequences alone, “I’m sorry…”

“You’re a kid, so I’m sorry if you have nothing to do every day. You have a lot of things to apologize to us for…” Gu’s mother waved her hand, “Anyway, we are so old and can’t control you anymore. You should think about some things yourself.”

    “…?” Gu Pan was stunned.

She seemed to be able to understand what Gu Ma said, but she didn’t seem to understand it very well.

“Okay, okay, go to the hotel and get the gift you gave me.” Gu’s mother didn’t wait for Gu Pan to speak again, and rushed people away, “If the one I bought is cheaper than the one for your dad, I can’t spare you!”

Gu Pan had no choice but to rush back to the hotel to get his things and check out.

However, Gu Ma’s words could not be dispelled from her mind.

In Gu Pan’s plan, she planned to stay at home for a few weeks before returning to City C, and escape reality for a few more days. However, something unexpected happened that disrupted her plan——

Lin’s perfume extended an olive branch to Little Magic Box.

Speaking of Lin’s, it is the leading perfume family in China. Several of Lin’s flagship products, such as the spring water series, are popular enough to gain a foothold abroad.

Even with its high price, there are still a large number of loyal fans, and its super competitiveness can simply sweep away thousands of troops in the market.

Business cooperation with Lin is of course more important than anything else right now.

So that night when she received the call from Lin’s person in charge, Gu Pan packed up and prepared to return to City C.
