    Chapter Index

On the way, the fool kept staring out the window, as if he was worried that this road was going to that cold place called the police station.

Wanfeng held he’s hand and said, “Don’t be afraid, I will take you home.”

The fool turned to look at her aggrievedly, his peach blossom eyes filled with red aggrievedness, “Sister, don’t abandon me.”

“I won’t leave you behind.” Wanfeng said softly.

Liu Zhuangzhuang was driving in front, looking through the rearview mirror at the hands held by the two people in the back seat, and felt very amused.

Why do fools get this treatment, but he doesn’t?

She originally brought roasted sparrows for Dashan to eat, but who knew that after seeing Dashan, Wanfeng forgot about it. The sparrows had been stuffed in the bag all night and were no longer edible, so she had to throw them out.

Two hours later, the car finally drove into the mountains.

Seeing the familiar villages and rivers, Dashan finally relaxed and had a silly smile on his face.

“Sister, I’m home.” He looked at Wanfeng with a smile, “I’m home.”

    Wanfeng chuckled, “Well, I’m home.”

As soon as she arrived at the door of Liu Zhuangzhuang’s house, Wanfeng shouted to stop, she led Dashan out of the car, thanked Liu Zhuangzhuang, and then led Dashan towards home.

“Da Shan.” She asked on the way, “Why did you run out? Don’t you want to find your family?”

Dashan held her hand and said aggrievedly, “Look for sister.”

    Wanfeng sighed softly, “Fool.”

When the two returned home, Wang Huaru and Cheng Dashu waited at home all night. When they saw the evening breeze coming back, they were relieved and asked, “Why did you stay in the city all night?”

When they saw the mountains beside the evening breeze, they didn’t understand anything, so they just sighed, “Evening breeze.”

The evening breeze said softly, “Abba, Ama, don’t say anything. I will take care of him from now on. I will give him the extra food. I can go to the mountains to dig wild vegetables to eat. Let him stay.”

Wang Huaru looked at she and asked, “Wanfeng, could you really take him with you after you get married?”

Wanfeng was hiding something in her heart, but she didn’t dare to say it out. She was worried that her parents would be angry, so she just followed the topic and said, “Yes, I want to take him there.”

The atmosphere was heavy, and Dashan also noticed the stalemate and stagnation in the air. He held Wanfeng’s hand uneasily, with a strong force.

“He is an adult man, and… you are always together, which will have a bad impact on you. In the future…” Cheng Dashu wanted to say something, but because Wanfeng was a girl, he didn’t have the nerve to say it.

Wanfeng wants to tell them that she may not be able to get married in the future. If she did something like that with a fool, no one may want her in the future.

But she is afraid that her parents will kick the fool out, so that the fool will have no home.

Whenever she thinks of the scene of the moment when she found the fool, she feels sour and wants to cry.

She will never leave a fool again.

Cheng Yu came out of the room and stood next to Wanfeng, “Mom and dad, let the fool stay.”

“The fool is prettier than the strong brother.” After all, he is a child and speaks without thinking. “Let my sister be with the fool from now on.”

Wang Huaru and Cheng Dashu’s expressions changed, “What nonsense are you talking about!”

When Cheng Yu saw that her parents were angry, she was so frightened that she hid behind Wan Feng.

Wanfeng quickly raised her hands to protect him, “Abba, aunt, he is talking nonsense, don’t be angry.”

Wang Huaru and Cheng Dashu were still unwilling to leave the fool at home. Wanfeng still persisted. No matter how stupid Dashan was, he understood that dad and mom didn’t want him.

He stood there, blinking his peach blossom eyes, and suddenly started crying.

    “Don’t… leave me…”

Wang Huaru and Cheng Dashu were shocked by the cry of a grown man. It took a long time before Cheng Dashu shouted, “Why are you crying! Why are you crying so loudly? Stop crying!”

“Okay, okay, I won’t leave you…” Wang Huaru was really helpless. She had never seen such an old man cry, and because Wanfeng insisted, she had to compromise, “Okay, I won’t leave you.”
