    Chapter Index

    Twenty-seven. Regret?

There was resentment in her eyes.

    Song Tingyan saw clearly.

Su Ying was as pure as a piece of white paper in front of him, and every stroke was reflected by him. How could he not see the desolate light in her eyes.

The overwhelming disappointment, mixed with strong hatred, was complex and profound, and left her at a loss.

Song Tingyan understood that if he let her go now, when she picked up that thick protective shell, he would be the first person blocked by her.

His cold eyes looked behind her.

The current person in charge of the Xin family, his great mother, was leaning elegantly on the back of the chair where Su Ying had just sat. Her smile was extremely gentle, but only Song Tingyan could understand the deep meaning in that smile.

    She got it.

    Sooner than he thought.

That’s why she agreed to his request so readily and only asked him to return home as soon as possible.

This scene seemed to be what she expected. How to do it calmly and make people cringe. No one is better than her.

He remained motionless, and Su Ying was annoyed. She tried her best to break free from his restraint, but he grabbed her wrist tightly and walked out.

He walked very quickly, and Su Ying wore slender high heels. The heels rubbed against the ground, making a thin and rapid sound.

She stared at the back of his handsome head and gritted her teeth angrily, “Song Tingyan, let me go…”

After she broke away a little, he held her tighter, as if he was going to crush her slender wrist.

When he reached an unoccupied box, he roughly kicked the door open, forced Su Ying to enter, and then locked the door.

The heavy lock sound completely triggered the resentment in her heart. She raised her hand and slapped her in anger. Song Tingyan didn’t hide and received a heavy slap.

    “Snap.”

The room was quiet, and the sound was so crisp that it made Su Ying’s throat sore.

She stubbornly took a step back, staying away from his breath. She felt that his whole body was poisonous, and even his breathing was not immune.

She didn’t allow herself to get stuck in it any longer and make the same mistake again and again.

Song Tingyan’s skin was fair, and the attacker struck again. When he turned around, there were scarlet fingerprints on his fair skin.

Su Ying rolled her eyes slightly and forced herself to look away.

The air froze for a few seconds.

He looked down at her hand and finally spoke, “Does it hurt?”

His voice was still so gentle, and even his breath was not disturbed at all, as if nothing had happened.

He was always like this, controlling all her emotions with a superior attitude. She was almost invisible in front of him, not only her body was naked, but also her heart.

Su Ying exploded instantly, raising her small fist uncontrollably and hitting him on the chest.

Every move was done with all his strength, as if he was venting the anger that had been pent up in his heart for a long time.

Her eyes were red, but there was not a drop of clear water.

She has never been a person who likes to use tears to release pain. Even when her grandmother passed away, she could hold it back, even if her heart was broken into pieces.

Crying is a sign of weakness, this is what her mother said to her.

Tears burst into my eyes only for a moment, but the sense of collapse that followed was the source of the nightmare.

Song Tingyan stood silently, not even making a slight movement to cover up, letting her vent silently, with heavy blows. She was like a trapped little animal, her eyes were scarlet and piercing, and she was so cruel that she wanted to tear him into pieces.

After so many years of pretending to be strong, she was really tired.

After meeting Song Tingyan, she felt that life seemed to have the joy of living. She began to slowly experience the so-called sense of security in him, which was something she had never felt before due to the lack of father’s love.

She trusted him, relied on him, and only he could see that touch of tenderness that she had never seen before.

She was surprised to find that she could be shy to the point of blushing, act coquettishly with a trembling voice, and even boldly throw herself at him, panting and moaning under him…

But the reality came too quickly and too cruelly, followed by a heartbreaking sting.

    Dreams will eventually wake up.

    She is too naive.

She slowly stopped moving, her whole body falling into a sluggish state.

Her hands were still on his chest, and he wrapped them in his palms like a pity. The familiar warmth made her feel like she was waking up from a dream, and she almost reflexively withdrew her hands and intertwined them behind her.

He raised his hand to touch her face, but she avoided it with her cold head. Her hand hung in mid-air, neither up nor down, just like his current state of mind.

She was fully armed and wouldn’t give him any chance to get close.

He pursed his lips, and the muscles of his jaw were frighteningly tight. He suddenly took a step closer to her, and she subconsciously stepped back.

“Don’t come near me.” Su Ying frowned in disgust, “Disgusting.”

He glanced slightly between his brows and stared at her deeply. His light-colored hair slightly covered his eyes, making her look even more unfathomable.

“Disgusting” he asked slowly, but did not stop walking. Su Ying was forced back by the cold pressure all over his body, until her body touched the edge of the table. He locked his hands on her sides and held her tightly in his arms.

The memory of the body is always faster than the mind. Being so close, her towering softness squeezed his chest, and the hardness of the muscles under the suit and leather shoes almost instantly awakened her memory. Only when she stupidly leaned forward to meet him did she realize how stupid she was.

He raised his head and glared angrily, “Song Tingyan.”

The hot tongue grazed her lips, and suppressed lust was wrapped in her voice, “I prefer to hear you call me teacher.”

The numb touch on her lips made her heart tingle. She turned her head away with some difficulty and smiled sarcastically, “Is this interesting for you?”

    The man’s movements stopped suddenly.

“Being close to me will give you pleasure.” She looked at him, opening and closing her thin lips, “Cousin.”

His eyes were calm and his voice was steady and steady, “A cousin who is not related by blood counts.”

The person in his arms trembled.

    He knows.

    He really knows everything.

She was the only one who was played with and applauded by him like a fool.

The lightly painted face looked particularly charming under the bright light, but the cold light in her eyes sank little by little into the ice cellar.

“You just want me to give up, why bother putting on this scene and letting others humiliate me…”

A smile spread across her lips, “Song Tingyan, if I had known your identity earlier.”

“There can only be one kind of relationship between us.” She raised her head and said word by word: “Stranger, stranger, stranger.”

Her tone was firm, “I will try my best to escape from you, as far away as possible.”

If she had known early on that Song Tingyan was having an affair with the Xin family, she would have been able to restrain herself no matter how much she liked her.

Because that’s her only restricted area.

His face darkened, he stared at her for a moment, and said gloomily, “I regret it.”
