    27: Audition (Part 1)

When Qiao Qiao woke up the next day, it was already twelve o’clock noon.

Song Qiyan had already gone to work. He left a note for Qiao Qiao. There was a meal in the refrigerator. If you didn’t want to eat, you could order takeout. The phone number for the takeout was also written on the note.

So did you do it in the end…

Qiao Qiao got out of bed with a complicated mood. She hastily combed her hair, then slipped out of Song Qiyan’s room like a thief, and ran all the way back to Cheng Xiu’s home. Fortunately, the tenth floor was always sparsely populated, so she didn’t meet anyone along the way.

She remembered the audition she had arranged with the external director named Zhuang yesterday. There were still two hours before the audition started, enough time for her to take care of herself again.Qiao Qiao hurriedly took a shower, applied a facial mask and put on the clothes she would wear today. Then she had a hasty lunch. At about 1:50, she picked up her bag and went out on time.

The audition location is on the 18th floor of the headquarters. The floor arrangement of WAWA headquarters is very particular. The lower floor is mostly used for offices, and the middle floor is for artists to rest. There are various indoor shooting venues from the 16th floor. It is said that there is also a floor specially used for SM shooting. The partition walls of the entire floor have been smashed, leaving only an empty hall filled with all kinds of sex toys. Everyone who has been there said it is very spectacular. But Qiao Qiao didn’t really like this kind of body abuse drama. She wasn’t the kind of person who could get pleasure from pain, so she never had the opportunity to go up and see it with her own eyes.

As soon as she got to the 18th floor, Qiao Qiao felt the excitement of the audition. The corridor after getting out of the elevator was full of people, all of them were well-dressed female artists, leaning against the wall in twos and threes and chatting and laughing together. Qiao Qiao had been staying in the branch before, so she didn’t have many acquaintances at the headquarters, so she had to follow suit and stand at the back of the team. Occasionally, a few people turned around curiously to look at Qiao Qiao, and Qiao Qiao also gave him a polite smile.

Qiao Qiao arrived not too late, and more people came one after another. Several female artists lined up behind Qiao Qiao. Because the distance was relatively close, the content of their words could be clearly transmitted to Qiao Qiao’s ears.

“I heard that Jiang Li was fired by this director yesterday? Oh, I regret not being there.” A young girl with curly hair said with regret.

“Don’t think about it. Jiang Li is very tough in the background. I guess even if he is fired, he will be invited in a good manner.” Another man dressed more maturely answered.

“Then you’re fired, otherwise there would be no chance for us to audition.”

“I don’t think it’s that simple. How can Jiang Li give up? Maybe this audition is just a cover for young artists like us. Anyway, I plan to see the situation first. Whether I want to give it a try or not is another matter.”

“Oh, I haven’t taken on a role in a long time, and my bones are all soft. By the way, what’s the name of the SPA club you recommended me to last time…”

Qiao Qiao turned his head silently and stopped listening.

The name Jiang Li sounded familiar to her, and after a while she remembered that she had heard the director named Zhuang mention it yesterday when she called her. It seemed that the interpersonal relationships here were very complicated.

But the girl just now was right. Qiao Qiao also plans to take a look at the situation. She doesn’t want to be involved in the battle of first-line artists for no reason. She is very satisfied with her current situation. Of course, it would be better if she could enter the top 400 of the overall list…

A staff member with a blue work badge on his chest walked through the corridor, maintaining order as he walked. The female artists standing against the wall stood in twos and threes and began to register their work numbers one by one.

Qiao Qiao quickly registered at Qiao Qiao’s side. Qiao Qiao was busy taking the paper to check his information, but he didn’t notice that the team behind him had become quiet.

She was about to write her name on the paper when the paper in her hand was suddenly taken away from her.

“Why are you so anxious to write?” A charming-looking girl stood in front of Qiao Qiao with a smile. She held the registration form just now in her hand. She turned to the people around her and said, “It seems that if you write it, you can become the protagonist. What are you dreaming about?”

Qiao Qiao didn’t react. She turned around and looked around, and found that the people in front and behind her had moved away from each other, trapping herself and this girl in the middle…

    What is going on?

The girl started to hold the paper and pretended to look at each one one by one. The staff in charge of registration also looked a little confused and reminded loudly: “Ms. Jiang, this is a normal audition…”

“I know.” Jiang Li nodded, “You can come to the audition but I can’t? Is there a rule that previous heroines can’t come and try again?”

She directly reached out and took off the pen hung by the staff on her breast pocket: “I’m here for the audition today too, please let me register as well.”

Because the latest column on the form had already been omitted by Qiao Qiao, Jiang Li turned around and asked Qiao Qiao with a smile: “What’s your name? I wrote it for you too, right? You’ve been standing here for a long time and haven’t registered. You’re really anxious.”

There was silence all around, and countless pairs of eyes fell on Qiao Qiao’s face. Qiao Qiao paused for a while and said calmly: “My name is Qiao Qiao, the bridge of small bridges and flowing water.”

“Haha, what a good name.” Jiang Li wrote it for Qiao Qiao one stroke at a time, then wrote his own name on the back, and then patted the registration form on the chest of the staff member, “Take it, I’m going to queue up too.”

She boldly stood at the front of the team, squeezing out the first place. The girl didn’t say a word and silently took a step back.

At this time, the team slowly returned to its original position. The girls in front of and behind Qiao Qiao were discussing the scene in a low voice, while Qiao Qiao himself tried his best to lean against the wall to calm himself down.

Don’t be angry, don’t be angry…you can’t waste your life on this kind of person.

“Okay now, Jiang Li is here. We won’t have any drama anymore. Let’s just go through the motions later.” It was still the curly-haired girl behind Qiao Qiao who started the topic.

“Yes, who would dare to snatch it from her when everyone is here? With the attitude just now, she wanted to remember everyone on the registration form. Fortunately, I didn’t have time to write my name at that time, otherwise I don’t know how I was kicked out of the company in the future.”

“Hey, someone has already left directly, why don’t we leave too?”

“Why are you so anxious? At least you can watch Jiang Li’s audition before leaving. Why are you so crazy and not allowed to be seen by others?”

People at the front and rear of the team had indeed left one after another, and those who had not had time to register were about to leave. More than half of the original team of about sixty people had gone at once, and Qiao Qiao was at the end of the team, standing in front of the curly-haired girl.

Jiang Li, who was standing at the front of the team, turned around. Her eyes with smoky gray contact lenses scanned the remaining thirty or so people, and then turned back as if nothing had happened.

Then someone came out to arrange for everyone to enter the venue. The staff handed out a stack of printed audition scripts to everyone. Qiao Qiao took one and looked at it carefully. He also marked a few places. He originally planned to just watch the audition, but now Qiao Qiao was completely excited.

As the saying goes, if you don’t steam the steamed buns, you still have a good reputation…

After entering the venue, Qiao Qiao got a seat in the order of registration. Of course, Jiang Li still sat first.Director Zhuang stood on the stage. He frowned when he saw Jiang Li, but he didn’t say anything. He took the microphone and started to introduce the situation. The general meaning was that he would give everyone some time to familiarize themselves with the script. The formal audition will start in ten minutes.

The remaining girls began to gather in twos and threes again, and the room became a little noisy for a while. Qiao Qiao didn’t pay much attention to it. She took the time to figure out the character of the heroine in the script.

The door of the room behind him squeaked softly, and a person walked in.

Because most of the female artists were sitting facing the stage, few noticed that another person walked in from behind. However, Director Zhuang, who was standing on the stage, suddenly had a strange expression. Several female artists turned back curiously and suddenly screamed.

The voice suddenly stopped suddenly, but the women who were gathered together to laugh and chatted began to turn around as they realized what had happened, and then the noisy audition venue suddenly became so quiet that there was no sound of breathing.

Qiao Qiao didn’t feel anything at all. When she looked up, she first saw Jiang Li’s shocked face at the front. Qiao Qiao also thought to herself that this girl’s expression was so spot-on. She wondered if she could also perform at this level.

After admiring Jiang Li’s expression enough, she casually turned back to see who was coming. Anyway, she probably didn’t know who it was.

The tall man stood at the door. His delicate and almost perfect facial features gave people a substantial sense of mental pressure. Qiao Qiao blinked twice before he was sure that he was not dreaming. The person who came turned out to be Jian Baiyou.
