    Chapter Index

    Carnivorous Cinderella’s niece

That afternoon, Li Xin was enjoying the afternoon sunshine in the garden.

The Countess had not been able to trouble her for a long time because of that ‘humiliating’ incident. As a result, there was very little interaction between Margaret and her.

She was even able to cook some delicious food for herself, but she was always kicked out by Donna. She felt that she shouldn’t do such a thing.

God knows, she has lost a lot of weight because of those really unpalatable dishes.

Andre found a gardener for her as promised, and the garden was no longer as deserted as before, but began to have verdant greenery.Although her vision of blooming flowers was still in its infancy, it was already exciting enough.

She narrowed her eyes and curled her lips happily.

The current temperature was so comfortable that it made people sleepy. Li Xin felt that her eyelids were a little heavy and seemed to be slowly drooping.

    “Cindy.”

The sudden male voice prompted her to wake up.

She opened her eyes in confusion. Because of the light, she could only see the other party’s shining light golden hair:

    “Arthur?”

    She said hesitantly.

Andre pursed his lips, slowly distanced himself from her, and sat down beside her.Ever since his identity was exposed a month ago, he couldn’t stop Li Xin from changing the name he called him.Although the girl’s sweet voice sounded very pleasant, it always made him feel a little… subtle?

“Maybe if you call me uncle, I can feel more comfortable.”

He rubbed the bridge of his tall nose.

    “Oh, don’t say that,”

Li Xin sat up straight with a smile and poured him a cup of tea:

“We don’t have to be so unfamiliar, do we?”

She felt that if she relied solely on developing feelings, she would probably not be able to get close to him in a year and a half. It’s not that she’s hungry, it’s that every time she sees him, her body reacts badly. That desire becomes more and more urgent as time goes by.

It’s like a hungry person who cannot eat a piece of fragrant braised pork in front of him.

She tried every means to leave traces in his heart, not as elders and younger generations, but as men and women.

And her efforts were not in vain, Andre gradually began to get used to it.

    “Maybe.”

    He frowned.

Andre took the tea Li Xin handed him and took a sip:

“However, I came here today to tell you something.”

He put the tea cup down again and clasped his hands together, looking very solemn:

“You know, I still have some things to do outside. An emergency happened this time, and I had to rush back.”

Li Xin saw something unusual in his solemn expression, so she unconsciously lost her smile and became a little worried:

“Is it…the same thing as my father?”

That’s what her weird intuition told her.

Because she always felt that the matter involving her father was not completely over.

Andre glanced at her and nodded silently.

    Li Xin’s heart collapsed.

So he hasn’t eaten the braised pork yet, is he leaving again?

It was as if I could hear my stomach protesting.

“So, how long will it take to go? Will it be dangerous?”

The girl looked uneasy, and Andre could roughly understand the reason, especially when the grief in her eyes gradually became apparent, and he guessed that she was thinking of her father.

“Actually, I can’t give you a definite answer,”

    Andre sighed,

“Maybe a month, maybe half a year, maybe longer. However, I have arranged everything, and you will never be the same again.”

He thought that he could only give her so much before this matter was over. This may be contrary to Wilson’s last words, there is no way to take care of her until she is married, so he can only do what he can.
