    Chapter Index

When Xiang Zhen returned to the room, Fu Hua was awake and lying on the bed reading the Parenting Encyclopedia. There was a note on his hand, which was a keyword written by Xiang Xun. You can look up the corresponding book title based on the keyword.

When Fuhua saw Xiang Zhen come back, he took the note and put it in the book. Then he put the book on the table and asked him: “How is it?”

Xiang Zhen lay down and held him in his arms: “If he decides to go, don’t worry about it. This will only be good for him, not harmful.”

    “Yeah.” Fuhua nodded.

Xiang Zhen kissed her on the face: “Go to sleep.”

Xiang Zhen had a dream at night. He dreamed that when he was a child, Xiang’s father took him and Xiang Xun to the river to fish. He was eleven years old at that time and Xiang Xun was only four years old. Xiang’s father dropped the fishhook in the grass and couldn’t find it. He asked Xiang Zhen to help him find it.

At that time, Xiang’s father was so proud that he hugged Xiang Xun and praised: “My son is so smart.”

Xiang Zhen stood by the side, surrounded by heavy shame. As he grew up, this scene often appeared in his dreams.

In the dream, he kept reminding himself that he had to use a magnet to find it, but his stupid self just lay on the ground and relentlessly pushed through the grass to explore.

He couldn’t wake himself up despite shouting at the top of his lungs in the dream. When he woke up, he was left with endless sadness and loss.

Xiang Zhen didn’t sleep well, and he was very bruised at the moment. He just finished washing up, and Xiang Xun had breakfast and went out. He was very self-disciplined. He would go out for a morning run in the morning. After the morning run, he would buy breakfast and come back to eat. He didn’t know how he stayed up so late every day and got up so early.

Fuhua went shopping for groceries and hadn’t come back yet. There was breakfast made by Fuhua on the table. Xiang Zhen simply ate some. On the way to work, he went to the supermarket and bought a lot of gifts, which he sent to his mother-in-law’s house.

Fuhua’s parents were not very satisfied with Xiang Zhen. They sent him back to the car and insisted on bringing some gifts for Xiang Zhen to take back, saying they would replenish Fuhua’s health.

Xiang Zhen took time to go home again at noon, gave Fu Hua the gifts from his mother-in-law, and had lunch at home.

Xiang Xun was also there. He might have just come back from outside and was getting his clothes ready to go to the bathroom to take a shower.

Xiang Zhen opened the watermelon and sat on the sofa holding half of it. He saw the information printed out on the coffee table. He glanced at it. It was full of milk powder brands and corresponding contact information. Below it was the type of diaper and the corresponding phone number.

Xiang Xun conducted data analysis on each brand of milk powder, and finally selected the ones with the highest cost performance and listed them at the top, along with a fan-shaped distribution chart of the number of users of milk powder products.

Xiang Zhen was dumbfounded. He opened the next page, which was filled with survey and analysis data about diapers. Finally, he listed the best diapers and summarized the advantages, disadvantages and flaws one by one.

“Sister-in-law.” Xiang Xun came out of the bathroom, opened the door and shouted to Fu Hua in the kitchen, “Come here.”

Fuhua glanced at Xiang Zhen on the sofa, wiped his hands, and followed Xiang Xun into the bathroom.

Xiang Zhen also stood up and followed. Xiang Xun had a dry towel on his head, and his hair was still dripping. He wiped his hair with one hand, pointed to the non-slip mat under the shower head with one hand and said, “Go and try it.”

There are three types of anti-slip mats, all of which are laid on the floor tiles.

Fu Hua went in and stepped on it, nodded and said, “It’s all good.”

Xiang Xun asked: “Which one do you like best?”

Fu Hua took a look and saw that two of the non-slip mats were gray and the other was pure black. In the center, there was a red line outlining a rose.

She glanced at Xiang Xun. The boy’s eyes were always on her face, waiting for her answer. She became nervous inexplicably, and her eyelashes trembled.

Xiang Xun turned around and saw Xiang Zhen at the door. He stopped teasing Fu Hua. When he turned to leave, he heard Fu Hua say in a very soft voice: “This.”

He looked back and saw the woman’s thin white hand pointing at the rose anti-slip mat under her feet.

Xiang Xun’s heart felt as if a feather had brushed against it, feeling incredibly warm.
