    Chapter Index

    “Good morning, my lord,”

Li Xin’s smile was extremely bright,

“You look very radiant today too.”

She said, placing the dinner plate in front of Janus as usual, as if the previous chaos had not happened.

Janus felt her attitude, and wisely did not mention it again, but turned the topic elsewhere:

“Did you sleep well last night?”

He smiled lightly and took the milk Li Xin handed him without any precautions.

    “Slept well.”

Li Xin stared at he and drank the glass of milk, suppressing the discomfort in his heart, lowered his head and replied.

She didn’t want to harm a seemingly innocent person.

But since he is in the manor, who can say that Janus is really innocent?

This is a seemingly gorgeous cage that imprisons not only ghosts, but also wild beasts.

“Would you like to go for a walk?”

Li Xin waited for Janus to finish breakfast slowly, packed the plates, and took the initiative to make suggestions.

Janus was a little surprised. He looked at the sky outside the window and seemed to be quite moved.

So under Li Xin’s expectant eyes, he agreed:

“Then you can find Bird for me.”

    Everything went very smoothly.

Bird carried Janus and the wheelchair to the garden as before, and Li Xin pushed Janus on the path where the roses were the brightest.

The warm sun falls on people’s bodies, like a mother’s gentle touch, which inevitably makes people let down their guard and gradually indulge in the quiet and beautiful scenery.

    Janus suddenly felt trapped:

“The sunshine is really nice today,”

he murmured, feeling warm all over and wanting to relax,

“Cindy, I want to sleep here for a while.”

He turned his head, his blue eyes filled with warm and soft light, like an innocent but pitiful child.

Li Xin lifted the blanket on his knees for him and gently put his hand on his eyes.

    “Go to sleep.”

A painless death can solve many problems that should not exist.

She saw him slumped in his wheelchair,

    Snow-white skin, black hair.

he closed his eyes tightly and fell into a deep sleep,

    Rose lips stained with blood.

Li Xin suddenly felt like the world was spinning, and a fierce pain swept through her mind.

She hugged her forehead tightly and fell to her knees unbearably.

    …………

When she woke up again, Li Xin found herself holding a tray and standing in Janus’ room on the top floor.

    “Good morning, Cindy.”

    Janus raised his lips,

“You look very energetic today too.”

    Li Xin: “…”

This scene was very familiar to her, after all, it had just happened.

She twitched the corners of her mouth and showed a stiff smile:

    “Good morning, my lord.”

She came to Janus with a tray and watched him drink milk again and finish breakfast. She did not suggest going out for a walk this time, but slowed down the cleaning.

Janus soon became sleepy due to her rubbing, he closed his eyes weakly and leaned on the pillow.

Bright red blood flowed from the corners of his lips, dyeing the snow-white pillow scarlet.

The familiar dizziness and pain came to Li Xin’s mind again.

    …………

Li Xin held the tray and stood in Janus’ room for the third time.

    “Good morning, Cindy.”

    Janus raised his lips,

    “You look like today-”

Before He could finish speaking, Li Xin had already pulled out the wooden hairpin, threw the tray away, rushed to He in three steps and then stabbed the wooden hairpin into He’s neck.

Hot blood sprayed on her cheek and dyed her eyes red.

    Gen: Reverse!
