    Chapter Index

    “Is your information accurate?”

Todd, Dylan, and the silent Vidal all gathered in a small, airtight dark space, with many dark and muscular figures crouching behind them.

It was obviously a bit cramped to have such a group of big men huddled here in grievance. Not to mention Todd and Dylan, even Vidal felt a little uncomfortable.

He has always taken good care of his hair, and usually combs and cleans it very well. When he is with Li Xin, the sweet-smelling and soft little girl also makes him very satisfied.

But now, various odors of unknown origin are intertwined, making He, who has an overly sensitive sense of smell, extremely uncomfortable, but he can only endure it.

He looked livid, placing all the blame on those old monsters from Central City.

“They will not give up their ‘results’ easily. After all, they are piled up with the lives of countless evolved and degenerated people.”

Vidal’s voice was so low that it was like a heavy hammer hitting everyone’s hearts word by word.

    The perfect evolver…?

So even they are just defective products.

    Todd pursed his lips.

Dylan didn’t speak, but his gradually heavier breathing somewhat revealed the restlessness in his heart. He clenched his fists, and his joints rattled in the silent space.

According to the estimated time, the envoy from Central City will arrive in a few minutes.

Vidal nodded lightly to Todd, who took out the communication tool and whispered to the people in the adjacent room:

    “Bring the people out.”

The evolver on the other side of the communication responded, looked up at the hole in the wall, coughed slightly, and waved to others to carry a crystal coffin about half a person’s height.

Todd couldn’t help showing a look of pain as he held the rickety crystal coffin across the wall:

“Take it easy… ugh… these clumsy guys, this is the treasure I won with great difficulty.”

Seeing that he was still worried about his money at the critical moment, Dylan couldn’t hold it back and dunked over his head:

    “Shut up, you money-obsessed rat.”

Todd blew his beard, glared, and retorted dissatisfied:

“That’s something with a price but no market!”

Since they couldn’t be exposed, both of them deliberately lowered their voices and spoke in breathy voices, which made the dispute a bit more comical and amusing, and unconsciously eased the tense atmosphere inexplicably.

Vidal pressed down one of them with one hand and warned the two of them to keep silent with a stern look.

Fortunately, he is as intimidating as ever.

The crystal clear crystal coffin shone brightly under the colored glass lamp, and its different cut surfaces reflected a fine light glow, while in the middle lay a vague figure, thin and petite, with snow-white skin.

There were soft footsteps outside the hall.

The way Central City appears is not earth-shattering, or even a little too ordinary.

Wearing dusty cloaks and stooped figures, they shake off dust as they walk, just like ordinary ascetic travelers.

However, no evolver dares to underestimate this group of “old, weak and disabled soldiers”.

The person responsible for receiving the reception on Todd’s behalf was he’s cousin of the same race. He was born with a greasy-faced smile and he greeted him in person attentively:

“You are here, sit down and have a rest. I have prepared everything for you. You can relax and enjoy the food…”

I have to say that he performed this role very well.

Even Dylan on the other side couldn’t help but praise Todd:

“Towns seems to be more annoying than you.”

    Todd: “…”

he doesn’t feel happy at all.
