    1. Poisoning

Su Tao walked a few steps and felt thirsty and tired. She sat on a big stone by the roadside and refused to move.

The little maid Liu’er was fanning herself and shielding her from the sun. “Miss, we’d better go back quickly. Madam is still waiting for us in the temple.”

Su Tao looked at the peach color not far away and hesitated. She couldn’t help biting her lower lip, which made her lips look fuller and more delicate.

“I still want to visit Taolin.”

There is a peach in Su Tao’s name, and she has been partial to peach blossoms and peach-pink things since she was a child. This Yinyuan Temple is famous for two reasons. One is that it is extremely accurate in seeking marriage, and the other is that it is the peach blossom forest.

Now that the season is right, the peach blossoms are blooming beautifully and pink, attracting many tourists to watch. But Su Tao came here not to enjoy the peach blossoms, but to seek marriage.

She is the daughter of a merchant in the capital. Although she has a fortune, her status is low. This marriage was said to be a good match but not a good match. The main reason was that Mrs. Su was fed up with the looks she received from noble ladies, and she wanted Su Tao to marry into a noble family. Even the princes of a poor family looked down upon her.

This is a bit embarrassing. Although Su Taosheng is as charming as jade and well-known in the capital, there are still a few people who are willing to hire a head wife. The main reason is that in the eyes of those noble ladies, it is a good thing for a head wife to marry a dignified and generous woman. Beauty is not really a good thing. So there is the matter of Mrs. Su bringing Su Tao to Yiyuan Temple to offer incense.

Su Tao sat and rested for a while, then felt thirsty again, so she asked Liu’er to get some water.

Liu’er saw that the back mountain was still far away from the peach forest and it was so quiet that there were no people around, so he left with peace of mind.

Coincidentally, as soon as Liu’er left, a group of people came behind her.

A group of women came laughing and joking, it was so lively.

Su Tao could tell from a distance that these people were coming. The leader was either that annoying guy Fan Zhen or someone else.

Su Tao became anxious at that moment. She didn’t care about waiting for Liu’er to come, so she pulled her skirt and hid in the back.

Fanzhen and the others are all daughters of nobles, and they always show their dignity in front of Su Tao. I heard that she had made an engagement at the beginning of the year, so naturally she couldn’t be here to seek marriage, so she was just here to enjoy the peach blossoms.

If I see Su Tao here, I won’t know how to laugh at her when I get back.

This was what Su Tao didn’t want to see the most, so she immediately ran towards the woods behind her, hoping that Fan Zhen and the others didn’t see her.

After running for a while, until no sound could be heard, Su Tao hugged the trunk of the tree with both hands and kept panting, rising and falling, and the clothes on her chest were pressed against the trunk as if they were about to burst.

It took a while for Su Tao to come back to her senses. She turned around and saw that there were woods all around. She could not remember the way she came.

Su Tao was really anxious now. She walked around the woods for a while but still couldn’t find the exit. Unexpectedly, a snake suddenly emerged from the grass.

“Ah!” Su Tao panicked and was bitten on his left ankle.

Su Tao sat down and took off her shoes and socks. There were two small black holes on her ankles, which were painful and itchy, and she could no longer move her entire left foot.

Su Tao was so frightened that her tears kept falling, and she felt extremely regretful. If she had known she would not have seen Taolin, if she had known she should not have come to Yiyuan Temple.

    “Amitabha.”

Suddenly a clear voice sounded behind Su Tao.

Su Tao was overjoyed and turned around to see a handsome monk. He quickly said, “Master, please save me! I’ve been bitten by a snake.”

The monk just stared at the ground without squinting, and gestured with his right hand in front of his chest, “Amitabha, Qingzhu, I’m sorry.”

After saying that, he strode up to Su Tao. When he saw the pink and jade-carved little feet, he hesitated for a moment before squeezing them and placing them in his palms.

Su Tao couldn’t help but blush, and wanted to pull her hands and feet back, but she held back when she saw the master looking at her seriously.

“Master Qingzhu, am I going to die?”

Qingzhu pinched her little feet and muttered for a moment, “It’s hard to say.”

“Ah! Master, you must save me. I don’t want to die yet.”

Qingzhu frowned slightly, “I came too late, the toxin has already flowed here along the blood.”

As he spoke, a hand gently slid from the ankle wound to the thigh.

Su Tao shivered for a while and almost groaned. She wanted to close her feet, but was held tightly.

“Does the master have any idea?”

“Of course there is a way, but it still requires the girl’s cooperation. Moreover, this matter will damage the girl’s reputation, so I’m afraid it’s inappropriate.”

Seeing Qingzhu’s hesitation, Su Tao became anxious again, “Master, I just said it doesn’t matter.”

“Hey, the snake venom has reached here.” He tapped Su Tao’s thigh again, “I need to force out the poison one by one from here, and it’s not too late. If it’s too late, the poison will reach the heart.”

As he spoke, Qingzhu raised his head and glanced at Su Tao’s breasts with a deep look.

Only then did Su Tao see Qingzhu’s appearance, with bright red lips. If he hadn’t been bald, no one would have believed that he was a monk.

Su Tao couldn’t help but secretly make up his mind, “Come, Master Qingzhu. Saving a life is better than building a seven-level pagoda. I believe in the master.”
